Help!
Quick!
There are many times when a client is having trouble with their computer
or just trying to do something new in a software program when he or she
would like a little help - and quickly. Waiting even a day for a technician
to come on site may not be feasible, and if it is a quick fix, is not
economical. In the past, all one could do was try to describe the issue
over the phone and see if someone could walk you through the process.
As anyone who's ever been on the phone with even the best technicians
knows, this can be exasperating.
Or sometimes it is just too difficult with everyone's busy lives to schedule
on-site calls for things like training, etc. This is where having a remote
support option is so great.
Eliminate
Frustration
Remote Desktop Support helps eliminate the frustration that often comes
along with telephone computer support, caused by the technician's inability
to see what the user sees. With this tool, a technician can "hop
on" your computer, take control of your mouse and keyboard and help
you work through your problem.
A
Simple Process
How does it work? You simply call or email
into our offices to set up an appointment (which for quick issues are
almost always available same-day). At the scheduled time, we'll call you
and direct you to a webpage on our site. You will click on a link and
a small program will be installed on your computer. Moments later a technician
will see your screen on his computer, and be able to move your mouse and
type remotely. From there we will either walk you through your issue,
while able to specifically guide you, or we can simply fix the problem
for you. When we're done, we'll tell you that we are uninstalling the
program from your machine (a process that takes only seconds) and you'll
be back to normal.
Safe
and Secure
The process is safe - using this technology there is no way we can access
your machine without you initiating the hook-up, and we can only
be on one computer at a time. You see exactly what we are doing at all
times, and we'll likely be on the phone with you throughout the process
so that we can explain what we're doing.
A
Real Money Saver
Time is money - both ours and yours! Although many times an onsite visit
is necessary to deal with larger issues, upgrades and "laundry lists"
of questions; remote support offers quick help when you most need it.
Think about it - how many times have you spent lots of your valuable time
trying to work our a software bug or fix a problem, when your time would
be better spent doing other things? Our expertise allows you to get back
to the rest of your life more quickly - money well spent.
Also, unlike an on-site
visit, remote support only has a 15 minute minimum, and is charged at
$25 per quarter hour. Compare that with $120/hour plus any service charges,
and you can see what a deal this is. Why is it cheaper? Because it's cheaper
for us -- no travel time, gas, etc. Also, for a limited time, new customers
can enjoy the first 15 minutes of their first call FREE!
So you can "try us out" at no cost to you! Just mention this
offer when setting up your appointment.
Who
Can Use It?
One of our clients calls this the "Magic Cursor" and it is --
but only for some issues. If you have a working high-speed internet connection
and a PC (sorry, no Macs for this!), we can help you. Now, obviously some
problems cannot be solved without actual laying on of hands, and if we
determine that's the case, we're happy to schedule a visit. The best uses
of remote support are software help, some virus and spy-ware issues, and
especially training! Imagine getting individual training on your own machine,
yet you can be in your PJs!
